BEATRIZ NUNESBeatriz Nunes is a singer and songwriter. In 2018, she presents her first album of originals, CANTO PRIMEIRO, consisting of her own themes, new arrangements for some classic songs and creations for poems by contemporary Portuguese poets. She has been the lead singer of Grupo Madredeus since 2011, with whom she recorded the album Essência in 2012, and has toured all over the world. In 2015 she recorded with Madredeus the group's last album, Capricho Sentimental. At the same time, it maintains activity in its own name, with a presentation of Jazz repertoire and Portuguese music. She has several collaborations in projects of Jazz and new Portuguese music. Since 2010, he has participated in the annual Opera Programs of the Sintra Estúdio de Ópera, namely Taças de Himyneu, Salome and Il trionfo di Davidde. In 2014 she finished her degree in Music-Jazz with Voice at Escola Superior de Musica in Lisbon. In the same year she received a scholarship to the New York Voices Summer Camp in Toledo, Ohio (USA) where she studied vocal technique with Kim Nazarian and composition with Lauren Kinhan and Peter Eldridge, from Berklee College of Music. In addition to her work as a singer and songwriter, she has been a voice teacher at the Barreiro Jazz School since 2012 and at the Professional School of Arts in Montemor-o-Novo since 2015.
